Worship

“O come, let us worship and bow down: let us kneel before the Lord our maker.” Psalms 95:6

We belong to God. We put God first in everything. God is with us every step of the way.

What is worship?

Worship is an action where we intentionally focus on God and put Him first.

At Eastminster, we believe that by regularly fixing our eyes on God, individually and corporately—in the midst of the joys and heartbreaks of life—we will find hope, peace, and true joy. Worship draws us closer to the heart of God and reveals His character and love. Worship and prayer are powerful: the Spirit works through our worship and prayer to bring us love and empower us for service.

How do we worship?

  • Sunday morning greetings at Eastminster church

    Worship on Sunday mornings

Together on Sunday mornings, we gather to worship God with music, prayer, teaching, and connecting with others. Sometimes we celebrate sacraments like the Lord’s Supper.

    Worship through life events

We worship God when we include His presence in life events like weddings, baptisms (children and adults), and funerals.

Contact staff about a wedding, baptism, or funeral.

  • Special Christmas cantata service at Eastminster

    Worship at special services

We celebrate many special events like Christmas, Easter, Epiphany, Pentecost, Lent.

These special events are reminders of parts of God's story, like birthday or anniversary celebrations.

  • reading Bible at home

    Worship at home

We can worship God at home through regular times of quietly reading the Bible and prayer.
